baking

that's the first extended metaphor  for a relationship which came to mind as i awoke this morning, well given that she bakes a lot and i'm anticipating the next batch of baked goods coming my way today!

it's really about the ingredients and timing. you need to really provide each other with the best of your qualities, but also trusting them to work with your worst. there will be days when you sift through the unresolved baggage  and there are others where you celebrate the success of making it thrive. but all which matters is taking your time with it, letting it rest, letting it grow, making sure it is baked in that warmth and sometimes rising passion. but in all, you know that you cannot rush the process, nor stinge on the ingredients.

what awaits is a lovely creation made by love, patience and understanding, never looking back at the errors but using them to improve on the recipe. haha ok that's the extent of my knowledge of baking metaphors. but what i know best which is similar to our relationship is the relishing part, savouring every burst of flavour, feeling the tummy smile with home, being sated, wanting more.
